Paid Internship Program

Unlocking Opportunities: Paid Internships for Individuals with Disabilities

Overview

The Paid Internship Program (PIP) is designed to give job seekers with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in career exploration while gaining vocational and job skills within a fully integrated community business setting.

The main goal of the PIP is to provide internship opportunities. It is not guaranteed that an employer or mentor will hire you. However, this internship may increase your chances of finding full or part time employment in the community. In the Paid Internship Program you will:

  • Learn about new jobs

  • Try new things

  • Earn money

  • Meet new people

  • Develop new skills

  • Explore the community

  • Gain work experience
