Twenty years ago, a young man decided to make a brave decision. With little to no work experience and plenty of self-doubt, Calvin began his career in Supported Employment as a member of the Viacom Bus Shelter Maintenance Crew. It was a hard road a
Twenty years ago, a young man decided to make a brave decision. With little to no work experience and plenty of self-doubt, Calvin began his career in Supported Employment as a member of the Viacom Bus Shelter Maintenance Crew. It was a hard road at first, as he found himself facing many challenges. Calvin faced these challenges one by one with perseverance, becoming a success story and a role model for others in Supported Employment. Calvin now works as a UCP of the North Bay staff member supervising a work crew of his own and helping others to find their way through competitive employment in the community. UCP of the North Bay proudly supports members of their staff by awarding grants to help further their education in the field of developmental disabilities. Mariah Archibald Shulman is one such example who after beginning with us as a young teenage volunteer now has her own classroom in the Pacific Northwest continuing to support those in need to live a "Life Without Limits!" http://ucpnb.org

Thank you again to all of the families, volunteers and staff who once again made it a special time for those out there learning and brushing up on their bike riding skills!
