Mike Lisenko

Chief Operating Officer

Mike has helped individuals with developmental disabilities work toward the achievement of their life and career goals for over 30 years. He earned his B.A. Degree in Sociology in 1992 and will complete his M.S. Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2023. As a Leadership Team Member at UCP of the North Bay, Mike has been responsible for the growth of our social enterprise businesses since WineBev Services began operations in 2008. His leadership has resulted in the employment of adults with developmental disabilities both on-site and in the community. His advocacy efforts have been instrumental in establishing fair wages and employment practices for the individuals we serve.

Prior to joining UCP of the North Bay in 2007, Mike held the position of General Manager of Custom Assembly and Packaging at the California Autism Foundation where he managed a bonded wine warehouse providing paid work for adults with developmental disabilities packaging wine and other beverages. That experience lead to the creation of WineBev Services at UCP of the North Bay and the commitment to paying adults with developmental disabilities prevailing wages, never sub-minimum or piece-rate wages. WineBev Services continues to provide wine and beverage packaging at our warehouse and at leading wineries throughout the Napa Valley, as well as employment training and community-based recreation activities.

Mike is currently directing the expansion of all our social enterprise businesses including WineBev Services, Gone for Good, Flipside Thrift Stores, and Petaluma Recycling Center. His efforts are directed at all our facilities becoming energy efficient through solar power, creating Mini-Recycling Centers throughout Sonoma County, and establishing an additional location for the Petaluma Recycling Center to meet the growing recycling demands of Sonoma County. Mike previously represented UCP of the North Bay for two consecutive three-year terms as a Voting Member of the North Bay Regional Center Vendor Advisory Committee and has mentored other nonprofit organizations interested in starting their own social enterprise.
