A Night in the Emerald City: Our Most Successful Gala Ever

A record-breaking night

The magic of A Night in the Emerald City is still in the air, and I'm still smiling. Thanks to our sponsors, donors, guests and community partners, we raised more than $280,000. That makes this year's gala the most successful fundraiser in UCP of the North Bay's history.

To everyone who bought a ticket, raised a paddle, sponsored a table, donated an auction item or volunteered behind the scenes: thank you. You turned one evening into something our whole community will feel for the year ahead.

More than a celebration

This evening was a reminder of what we can do together. Every dollar raised helps UCP of the North Bay create opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities, through education, employment, recreation and community inclusion.

Those programs are where independence gets built: a first job, a new friendship, a skill mastered, a place in the community that's fully theirs. Your generosity keeps those doors open.

Relive the magic

Whether you were with us in the Emerald City or couldn't make it this year, we want you to experience the night. We've gathered some favorite moments and two special videos about the people and programs at the heart of our mission.

Art for All: your generosity in action

Last year's Fund-A-Need came to life as a series of collaborative tile murals, bringing creativity and connection to individuals across our programs. It's a beautiful, tangible look at what your giving makes possible. See your impact →

There's no place like community

A record like this doesn't happen without a lot of people believing in the same thing. Thank you for being part of the most successful night in our history, and for everything it will make possible this year.

We can't wait to see you at next year's gala.

With gratitude,

Jessica Somoff
